Things To Do at Namushasha River Lodge
In 2007 the Caprivi Game Park and Mahango Game Reserve were merged to create the Bwabwata National Park. Bordered and crossed by the Okavango River to the west and the Kwando River to the east, this area is an important migration route for the African elephant and other game species moving between Botswana and Angola.
It is a protected area with a difference, as there are about 5 500 people living in the park. The Namibian government involves the residents in and neighbours of the park in the planning and management of the park.
Cultural tours can be undertaken and museums in the area can be visited to learn more about the Caprivi, its history and its peoples.
