Sesriem Oshana Camp is a self-contained camping site; guests must bring their own camping equipment, including a tent, sleeping bag, and cooking equipment. The campsite is run as part of a joint venture with NWR.
The campsite does not provide rooms; however, nearby accommodations with rooms are available at Dead Valley Lodge or Sossus Dune Lodge run by NWR. Guests have access to facilities at the NWR Sesriem camping site, located 1 km away, including a swimming pool and restaurant. A fuel station and a shop selling basic items are available nearby at Sesriem.
Camping at Sesriem Oshana Camp Sossusvlei Namibia
Sesriem Oshana offers a touch of luxury in the midst of the Namib Desert. The blend of natural surroundings and carefully designed amenities provides a unique camping experience. The wooden pergolas not only serve a functional purpose but also contribute to the aesthetic appeal of the campsite. Campers have the privilege of enjoying braais (BBQs) overlooking the breathtaking Namib Desert. This design choice allows guests to savour the beauty of the desert landscape while indulging in a relaxing outdoor cooking experience.
Each campsite is strategically arranged to provide a sunset view on Elim Dune, allowing campers to witness the beautiful colours of the desert as the sun sets. There are ten (10) campsites at Sesriem Oshana and each is equipped with its own bathroom, including showers, washbasin and a toilet. The campsites have an outside sink, power points (220V electricity), braai pit (barbecue), and shade. Campsites are spread out along the desert's edge, offering plenty of room for multiple vehicles. Hot water is provided by solar-heated tanks, primarily available in the afternoon and evening.
